Over the weekend of the 10/11 March the R Class Skiff Circus will be southbound to lovely Wanaka.
Perfect conditions for the Meridian Energy sponsored Aviemore Classic.
With three wins from four races, Sean Milner and Steve MacIntosh, have comfortably won the Sydenham Bakery Canterbury R Class championships.
Light winds and hot sun greeted the six keen skiffs. Saturdays snail pace racing was cutshort for some exciting singlehanded skiff sailing which provided the highlight of the weekend.
Rocks 3 - R Class 0. Three of the contenders for victory on saturday were severely damaged by unmarked rocks.
This seasons Ruddiman was held in Nelson (again).

This year the R Class Skiff National Championship is being held at the Auckland Sailing Club.
Smit Millars Alex Vallings and Andy Meiklejohn win Leander 2001 in fine style.
