Did I say the 30th October had the best rides of the season. This breeze definitely made the 30th look a bit tame, who says we have to be in control?

Light-Moderate NE.
The Club set an unreasonably short course, due to something about trailer yachts racing with a boat start.
Since the course was soooooo short, almost a sprint race, it was decided (by some boats) to sail a longer course. Consensus was that we shouldnt record a result.

Results and Story

Race 5 & 6 Centreboard Series 3

Race 1 Moderate NE

Two quite short races today. Thanks to Sean (Chemical Weapon) for the 'on the water' coaching during the races. Acid Got off to a flier while VR held off Meridian for the first lap and a half. Acid Rock's Dan and Steve came to grief in the big chop at top of the reef (Cut up by both the channel and the starting manouvres of the keeler fleet). Both and VR got through with winning comfortably.

Race 2 Moderate - Lightening NE

Acid Rock and round the top mark both have kite problems and a quick swim down the first lead. VR had opted to try the smaller kite to see how far across the tight lead they could carry it. Buster two sail reached partway across before hoisting and made it round the bottom mark first, closely followed by VR and . VR hauled them in fairly swiftly with also showing good speed up the beat. A close sprint downwind with VR, and . Acid Rock had made a big gain on the front three and got by and VR up the next beat. pulled out a bit of a lead and extended downwind as the breeze lightened.
