Nuplex and Subwoofer enjoyed the solid 18-20kt NE conditions with a moderate chop.
Nuplex was just back in as Subwoofer was rigging and advised putting in a reef as they had been flogging the main a fair bit uphill, even with the racks fully extended to 2.45m. Evidently the new hull felt smooth and extremely quick, especially downhill.
On Subwoofer, we were powered up nicely in the steady conditions and managed to be consistently above 11kts (from the GPS log) touching over 12kts a few times upwind. Downwind was fantastic with lots of big air and some pretty exhilarating towaways. Top speed was wave (and courage) limited to just a touch under 20kts as we had to back off a fair bit in the chop. All in all great fun.
We need this sort of stuff on race days!
