Four boats ventured out on the first weekend of the season (26/27 Sept 2009). This season is looking promising, new crews, several more foilers on the water shortly with more to come.
Saturday was pretty cold with a light and variable Southerly. Only two boats (TheVirtual and Merde) ventured out. L3 was there, but opted instead to put on their new signwriting.
Sunday was colder, but a steady NE, made for much better sailing. New crews were the order of the day. Seans' new crew, Andy Gallagher, did very well on his first day out. Especially as he'd never wired before and they took out the foils. Sam and Nick were also out for their second time on the old Pork Sword.
We're looking forward to a big turnout on the 10th as there should be more new crews, and 4 foilers on the water.
