Mid-Winter Dinner Report

Mid-winter Dinner and Prizegiving

A marvelous turnout and great food made the mid-winter dinner one to remember.

Just about everyone (along with a good number of partners) was there to enjoy the warm atmosphere and great food at the Volcano Cafe in Lyttelton.

One squadron member who deserves special mention is Philip "Asti" Royds. As he'd said he was going to be there, the lads became somewhat concerned by the time we'd sat down for dinner as he's not the sort to miss pre-dinner drinks. Sean made the call and ascertained that he'd forgotten and was out to dinner elsewhere and they'd just ordered. Needless to say the order was cancelled!

As usual the prizegiving was a pretty roudy event. Congratulations to all the winners of trophies throughout the season (see the 2000-2001 Season reports for details).
