Leander 2001 Day 1

Invitation Race

Buster Bloodvessel (CAN) out there looking keen have totally removed themselves from competition for the Leander Handicap Trophy by getting 4th in the Invitation Race what were they thinking!

Old boats showed their good lines and eased through the flat water. 92More FM (CAN) (second), Gryphon (CAN)(fifth using The Weapons cast off $50 kite).

Liquid typically quick off the mark failed to satify (refer mens clinic)

Conditions: F&P Smartdrive 1 - Ecowash.

Tim "The Guru" Bartlett - "Best heavy duty wash in 10 years"

Smit Millar (Akl) won and won handsomely with Stagecoach (WLG) teaming upto be the heavy weather champions for both races. B3D (WLG) & Chemical Weapon (CAN) filled third place. Heavy workout for the clanger among the rest of the field.

Heavy carnage with half the fleet knocked out by the end of the second race.
