Carbon inner skin and wing

The inner carbon skin is applied to the foam, then a layer of peelply and vacuum applied.

Nuplex Industries Limited LogoBefore the next layer of carbon can be applied the foam needs to be cleaned up and excess resin that has come up throught the holes is sanded away. Any imperfections are filled with foam glued in with filler/glue powder mix . This is then allowed to cure and then any final shaping can be done.

A thin layer of runny resin with light weight filler and glue powder applied to the foam to fill the rough surface then the next later of carbon is applied. The carbon is wetout and a layer of peelply added over the top to absorb any excess under vacuum.
