DescriptionThis is a very exciting boat to sail for the more advanced and adventurous sailor.
Designed as a 12ft Skiff it can also be raced with the "R Class" fleet at Lyttelton.

Comes With:
* Paul MacIntosh designed hull - modified Acid Rock Hull. approx 12 years old.
* #3 Main Sail - Reefs and Zips to become a #4. Kevlar Mylar. Well used but still some life yet.
* #3 Jib - Good condition (Kevlar Mylar)
* #4 Jib - Very well used, not much life left in this poor sail. (Kevlar Mylar)
* #3 Asymmetric Spinnaker - White, very good condition
* #4 Asymmetric Spinnaker - White, also great condition.
* Kevlar foam sandwich hull - Grey with Orange grip paint in cockpit
* Carbon Mast and Prod - both Orange.
* Carbon Mast Step - used to convert to #3 rig.
* Twin Trapeze System
* Carbon Rudder and Centreboard
* 2 harnesses - older style
* Great road trailer with large storage box.
* Sail bags for all sails.
* Sheets / ropes / pulleys / ratchets all in reasonable condition.
Watertight buoyancy compartments.

There have been two significant design upgrades since this boat.
This boat is more stable and easier to sail then the next generation designs, making it a great boat to get up to speed in High Performance sailing before moving into difficult but tremendously exciting Woof and L3 designs.

What's an R Class Skiff?

Extreme performance, light weight, skiff style, development dinghy class in the truest sense(see the rules for details).

Length 3.9m (max)
Hull no minimum weight (typically 29-35kg painted), 1.4m minimum width
Construction Unrestricted (typically ultra lightweight Carbon/Foam)
Rig Unrestricted - typically two spreader pre-bent carbon spar
Working Sails Area is restricted 13m2 - construction and rig plan are unrestricted - ie. wings, pocket luff, rotating masts are all acceptable
Kite 20m circumference resulting in a 30-36m2 surface area
Crew 2 (minimum) on trapeze
